If you want to get the most out of your eyelash extensions,

it is important to properly care for them. Lash extensions that are

not properly cared for will fall out sooner and can even cause irritation to the eyes.

In order to maintain and lengthen the life of your extensions, it is imperative that you practice

proper maintenance of your eyelash extensions. If you properly care for your extensions,

they will likely remain in place until the natural lashes that hold them fall out.

Here is some important information about how to look after your eyelash extensions, to

ensure longevity  - and to make sure they always look amazing!

Do not touch lashes (i.e. fiddling, makeup application that moves lashes)

for 3 hours after the eyelash extension procedure.

Do not wet the lashes for 24 hours after the procedure.

If you must shower during this period, make sure you don’t splash any water on your face, and

Never get oil or moisturizer/suncream on the lashes,

as the oil degrades the glue bond and  can make the lashes come off

(so non oil-based makeup removers or vaseline!)

Use an oil free make up remover and cotton tips to remove makeup gently.

If you must use mascara, only used one recommended by your eyelash extension therapist.

Heavy mascara use is not recommended – only apply it to the tips.

Coating your extensions in mascara will reduce their lifespan and they may not be able to be refilled.

Refills will normally be required every 2-3 weeks,

depending on the natural life-cycle of your eyelashes, and how well you take care of your eyelash extensions.

Do not attempt to remove the eyelash extensions by yourself,

otherwise you may pull your own eyelashes out. We can remove eyelash extensions correctly and painlessly if required.

Do not rub the eyes or use an eyelash curler (as this will damage the extensions).

Do not wipe eyelashes with fabric that can catch and pull on the eyelash extensions

In high-humidity environments (such as hot showers, saunas etc)

you may like to wear goggles (think a snorkeling mask – hilarious but effective!) to protect your lashes even more.

FAQ’S :

Q. What are Eyelash Extensions?

                                     A. Artificial lashes are attached to your natural lash resulting in longer,
thicker lashes that look natural but very luscious and glamorous.

Q. How many do you apply?

                          A. I apply a generous amount of lashes with up to 90 individual lashes per eye for a full set,
sometimes even more, depending on your natural lashes.

Q. How long do they last?

                                                                    A. The life of your natural lash.

Q. What are they made of?

                                                             A. Silk fibre, polyester or synthetic mink.

Q. How do they feel when wearing them?

                                                                   A. So light you can't feel them.

Q. How long does it take to graft the lashes?

                                                    A. 60 mins – 120 mins depending on your eyelashes.

Q. How long do the lashes last?

                                          A. Applied properly lashes will last the life of your natural lash
6 to 8 weeks sometimes longer with the proper after care.

Q. Can lash grafting damage my natural lashes?

                                                A. No as long as you go to someone who is professionally
trained and experienced. I have fixed up lots of poorly applied lashes

Q. How often do I need to come back for infills?

                                      A. Depending on your lash growth cycle, I recommend always it is best
to have your lashes checked/refilled every 2 weeks, then you should have
them refilled every 3 to 4 weeks, depending on how well you take care of them.
Maintaining this vigil will provide the optimum appearance for you.

*Please Note – Eyelash Extensions are not for everyone, if you have a history of eye sensitivity this may not be the service for you. In some instances, regardless of the therapist’s technique, the adhesive can irritate the eye. I do stock sensitive glue however this glue is not guaranteed to stop irritation and it is not as durable as my regular glue. This intern will cause more frequent refills for the client. If any of my customers have an allergic reaction to the glue within the first 12 hours I will remove the Lashes free of charge. Your initial service charge will not be refunded. In the extremely rare event that a client is unsatisfied with the end result, I do not refund due to ‘change of mind’. Additional appointments need to be made in order to remove or change the lashes.
